Wow he really is a jerk. There are a lot of them out there both male and female. When I was 13 we lost our lab mix and she was like my best friend and my mom thinking it would be good for me sent me to church youth group the day she had to be put to sleep and the youth group paster's wife told me dogs dont go to heaven! It was terrible I of course know better now but it was devastating thinking that when I was younger. I know dogs have souls, personalities and can very much love people. Sorry about that guy saying that jerky thing to you and I am sorry for the loss of your husband.
