My Taycie has horrible food Allergies. Her poor face was a mess, constantly running tear stained eyes, itchy skin, red hot ears...It was awful. Not to mention her stomach is ultra sensitive so it became a constant battle to find something that worked for both!

In discussing things with my vet we both decided to put her on RX Royal Canin Rabbit and Potato. Needless to say, it has been short of a miracle. Her face looks beautiful now and she is thriving!!!

I know mainstream really points a finger at Perscription diets, but if she is this miserable I would not just give up on it. Many highly qualified board certified Veterinary Nutritionists like Hills because of the quality control procedures and the science behind it. I know Royal Canin is the same. Quality Control Procedures are so important for pets suffering from allergies. If procedures are not there, the possibility of an allergic reaction happening in likely.

It also is so important to make sure she is getting NOTHING but the prescribed diet. I only give Taycie her kibble as a "treat". If she eats something other then the diet her allergies, will act up, and then you will be back at square one trying to figure out what is causing it. Best advice given to me was, stick to the diet and absolutely nothing else. I did exactly that and in the end, the results are so worth it.

I wouldn't give up on it yet. I would follow your vets advice so you can find what will help make her feel better.
