I would only put the pads where you want her to potty because yes it would encourage the behavior. Keep the pads in a designated area (like I mentioned b4/ like near the door.)

Also, try to limit her food and water intake. As pups I cut my dogs off from both food and water at 8pm until completely potty trained. But now only the food. So you may want to try a cut off time each night being sure to give her plenty of time to go out and releve herself before going to bed for the night /2-3 more times.

If that does not work than you may have to crate her at night. My babies where crated for sometimes up to a year before I allowed them to roam the house at night. Depending on whether they went potty in the house during the night.
