Not all distilled water is alike either, some is made for appliances such as irons and doesn't need to be placed in a special plastic bottle that is safe for drinking. Any of the distilled water products that are made for baby formula are packaged in safe plastic and you can use it. We used the distilled water (Gerbers) when Joey was a puppy and it did clear up his eye tears, after the age of 1 he no longer needed the distilled and regular filtered water was okay. I guess teething can make them more sensitive to minerals in water. Also as you suggested, different foods can cause a problem as well. Glad you found something that worked!

Good to know! I just found on the bottle it says distilled. I really had no idea. I have however been really pleased with it. I have tried other kinds of bottled water, but I think between her food and water, it has helped keep her tear stain free.

Her face, looks so great right now, I hate to change a thing.

I have read this article as well... I came across it online when I was googling tear stains.. It really is a good one!
