Are you supposed to use some type of conditioning rinse?
Type of brush/comb?
Coat Conditioner?

I have a birthday coming up this week and as a present, my family is taking me on a puppy shopping spree. So I was trying to make a list of things to add to the shopping cart.

I know I'll need a non-slip mat for baths and a hand held sprayer.

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!!!!
Have a great weekend everyone!
Welcome to the new world of Yorkie ownership

First I suggest that you ask the breeder what products she currently uses on the puppy for shampoo and conditioner.

You will need a pair of puppy clippers to keep nails trimmed, and once pup grows up a slightly bigger pair.

A carrier for travel in the car or to the vet.

Right now, I would just by a soft bristle brush (Should be fine for a puppy coat), small comb to comb beard and tiny paws.

Get Nutrical in case of low blood sugar.

Make sure breeder gives you some food that he is eating right now and you know the name of the puppy food, and buy a small bag of same.

I like Plush puppy s&c for pups, but this brand is not often found in pet stores, can be ordered on line though. Yes on the conditioning rinse. There are oodle of threads here, as we have some members that love to try out different products. You can purchase a grooming spray, or alternatively dilute some conditioner with water, and place in a spray bottle.

Teething toys!

Get some unscented baby wipes to clean up butt or other places. I would recommend unless it is unavoidable not to bathe the young pup for about 2wks. You want to make sure they have adjusted to their new home and you.

If you are going to pee pad train, then you need pee pads.

Buy a play pen, if you have room and can afford it, it is great to have pup in with pee pads, toys, food, water all in one place. So when you can't watch him 24/7 and you can't, then he begins to learn about where to go.

No walking, no public places until pup has had all their shots.

Buy a small very small sized harness and leash for when you can go out to walk him.

Food and water dishes.

Hope this helps
