found this "baby
armoire" on Craigslist. The ad was for a garage sale and had a pic of the closet. I saw the potential immediately. I went to the garage sale early and pretended I wasn't interested in it, even though I went there knowing I was going to buy it

. I asked how much they wanted for it and they said $60. I walked away and kept browsing, acting uninterested.
I came back to it and offered them $20, saying that it was really scratched up and needed a lot of work (it was actually not that bad and the entire thing is SOLID wood- absolutely no particle board). And they took $20! I was

So I went to Home Depot and picked up some sandpaper for my hubby's power sander, a beautiful black ebony stain, and all new brushed stainless steel hardware for around $40. Later I added another closet rod for $7. I got the wicker baskets at Ross for $10. I am still searching for some little hooks to put on the insides of the doors to hang leashes, harnesses, and collars. I am so glad I stained it instead of painting it because it has such a beautiful dark color with

I LOVE this closet! I searched for months for something to put Zoe's clothes in , but everything I found was either too small or too expensive. I am really happy with how it turned out and it really wasn't that much work. I had a lot of fun customizing it and learning how to refinish. So here are the before and after pics:
