What a crazy day today!!! Car in shop, flea treatments, near car accident once I got the car back, left check at work, had to go back, took work keys, had to go back and the power going out at 3a.m.-
8 hours after a storm (that initially looked like a funnel cloud
), rolled through.
It woke me up when the fan went off & I could hear the fire doors shut in the main hall. Then the smoke detectors give the 'dead battery' beep every so often. I scramble for flashlights, candles, stay up so I don't miss work. Princess was literally on my heels. When I pick her up she is shaking soooo bad. Her face was so sad & scared.
Well the good thing I've done is always wrap Princess in this blanket I bought her before she came when she's sick, shaking cold, scared, anything. About 30 seconds after I put it on her she stopped shaking & let me lay her on the couch. I left a few batt. tea lights by her & dd said she slept the whole time. Idk why I gave a dog a 'blankey' to begin with but I guess it worked...it worked for my dd, too.
On a side note, I threw her winter coat on her (which I
love) tonight & it can't even velcro! It barely goes down half her back!
She's so much bigger than last year, I don't care, but I loved that coat.
I got her a stuffed chicken in a bikini (w/boobies, lol) & she's since killed it. Maybe she's got a complex. :P
