This was sort of a lesson in futility. Noticed a flock of geese at the park, so I left the dogs home in hopes of getting some good pics. But geese are timid suckers. I walked around them so I could get the light falling on them, but as I tried to move closer, they inched farther away. It was like they had a protective bubble around them.
I thought of racing out into the middle of them with the good light on them, but decided that would be harassment. These guys have thousands of miles to fly, and they don't need some yahoo like me interrupting their rest.
I'd finally given up and moved to the shadow side of them when a bunch of them took off right in front of me. I snapped away, and these shots were the best I could get. Would have been much better if I had the sun falling on them instead of their bodies in shadows.
Oh well, consider these "tree" pictures with geese in the way!
