I just got my kassidy spayed 2 days ago, she's about 5 months. The first day was pretty sad. The vet said no food and water until the next day, however we can give her a small amount of ice cubes. The very next morning, she was lively and hungry. We cooked some plain skinless chicken breast, we boiled it and let it rest and mixed in some rice. She ate all of it and wanted more, but I restricted a little bit. Her pain meds were liquid based that was already measured by the vet to give through her mouth via syringe once per day for two days. I cheated and put some peanut butter around the area and shot it through lol, she's fine with that. Good luck and I'm sure your little one will cheer up soon.
