He's only 39 and is told he's on the brink of a heartattack and diabettes. His 40 year old brother had a stroke and his 42 year old sister has had numerous heart attacks and was diagnosed with diabettes recently, and his mom is also diabetic as is mine so it's in both our family histories. It's just sooo hard to change the eating habits that have been instilled in us since birth but we NEED to do so. WE CAN DO IT!!! |
I am so pleased to welcome you to this thread!! Just take little steps, one at a time. Like we have talked about before in this thread, change ONE thing per day in your eating habits, and just look for things to change one at a time. Look at labels with new educated eyes when you shop, and make the healthy choices.
You can do this for your health, for your family's health, and for your FUTURE health! We all age and as we do, we need to eat right. You cannot expect the "machine" to perform well for the ages if you don't give it the right fuel now!
I look forward to watching your progress!
