My vet does the bloodwork the morning of too. I think it would be much better to do it a couple days before. I know the reason is probably because they have to fast, but still, that would be ok too.
Maybe you could firmly suggest you want the bloodwork atleast the day before because you don't want a repeat of the last time. If they go for it, just remember to fast your girl.
