I can see where that would recommended, too. If my girl is busy in another room & I want her I'll say "Where's my puppy?" in a high pitched voice & she comes running. If she's in the same vicinity or something she wont come to me unless I tell her to come.
It doesn't matter what you call it as long as your pup learns that the most important thing ever is to come to you when called.
