I'm working on socializing Belle, but she's very shy and seems to get overwhelmed. Oliver (shih tzu) is very friendly with other dogs, so I'm trying to bring the two of them out together so that she will so that the world isn't such a scary place.
I did actually bring her to meet a few other Yorkies this past weekend. Most of them were at least twice her size, but she did pretty well. There was a really sweet (teapot) boy who wanted to make friends with her. They sniffed each other a bit and when she she started to look a little stressed I removed her from the situation. I'd love for her to be happy to see other small dogs!
I hope we don't encounter any little dogs who snap at her - it would ruin any progress we've made.
