How long was Paisley out to potty before you put her in the carrier? Do you walk with her to stimulate needing to pee and do you give her a potty command? (example: go pee pee)

Why provide her piddle pads if you don't want her to use them? If she's young, she might need a scheduled potty break.

Yes, when we go outside we do walk around and stay out for quite a little bit. Even in the rain we stayed out for a good little bit. I carried an umbrella
..and yes, I say "paisley let's go potty... go potty now" And she always goes. Sometimes she'll walk around and pee 2 or 3 times.

I put the potty pad in the pen "just in case" . In other words if she needs to go when I'm not home (which she doesn't get left at home without me very often and only for short times..2 hours at most). I'm not angry that she used the pad, just wondering why she didn't wake me up like she usually does.

Although.. last night she did wake me up as usual and we went out. Yay!
I think she knew I was upset with her last night for pooping in th house.. I sternly said " no no..outside!" I think i said it loud enough and to the point that it kind of scared her. All I know is she was a GOOD puppy last night after that and today she's been an angel and is giving bunches of kisses!!! I think she was just being a rebel puppy for the past 2 or 3 days!
