 Teeth Cleaning
The very 1st yorkie I had also had bad teeth. I adopted him at 2.5 yrs. I did not start having them cleaned until he was 6 years old. He had to have 3 teeth pulled! I felt so guilty because he had to have been in pain prior to that. From then on I had them cleaned every year until his passing. He did have to have additional teeth pulled over the years, but it is because he started out with bad ones to begin with. I have 2 yorkies now and have their teeth cleaned yearly! I don't want them to go through what my Cricket did. My 7 year old, Sully, has beautiful white teeth. My 1 year old, Bleu, just had to have 2 baby canine teeth removed so our vet cleaned his teeth at the same time. We also brush them once a week at home. Petco & PetSmart have doggie toothpaste.
