I think for a Yorkie any hellish experience is 'normal' when it comes to potty training. Oliver was great about it, didn't go in the house for a couple weeks then one day he peed on the carpet TWICE and pooped in his play pen. Out of nowhere! And the last TWO days he has peed in his crate twice. Totally not like him and I've had him almost 2 months now! Anyway, unfortunately I think both of our experiences are fairly normal and the only way to deal with it is consistency.
