I personally would stick it out. Even if you DO want your dog sleeping in the bed with you, it's important (IMO) not to let him 'win'. You might just be teaching him that he can get what he wants if he barks. I think a lot of Yorkies wind up spoiled because they are just too cute and their barks are soooo pathetic. I hate hearing Oliver yelp when he is somewhere he doesn't want to be, but it's important to teach him that barking is NOT the way to get what he wants.

I want to let Oliver sleep in the bed with me, but he still has to pee in the middle of the night and I'm afraid he will go in the bed. So I plan on waiting until he is 6 months or so. I will also be teaching him that he doesn't get to sleep in the bed EVERY night.
