Although I cannot promise all will be okay I can totally empathize.
I was terrified when Princess went under for her spay.
I insisted they call me as soon as she hit the post op table & I waited the 2 hr monitor time & immediately picked her up and took my groggy girl home.
She stayed in her box with her Kiss-E Cone one at all times.
I was so afraid even after with her recovery, I medicated her, hand fed her, made sure she stayed hydrated & was super paranoid the boys left her alone with her potty trips...her first time out in the yard the next morning she went over & humped Elvis showing she was "weakened" but she was still top dog here!
Do the pre-spay blood work & be prepared. Let us know how it goes, it's a routine procedure so feel confident.
I see you are in Iowa, but it's still strange many vets in CA don't put them under for dentals. On YT I have learned that seems to only be a common practice here in CA. |
