I just fostered a pitbull [she has now found a home, and i pick up my new li'l yorkie girl next week!...as i would never allow them in the same home], and to be honest the are known for Dog Aggression, it is in their nature to be so and they must be socialized from the time they are puppies in order to keep it under control, however it's never gone as it is their instinct/prey drive towards other dogs.
Although it sucks it happened, it seems as though your dog was the aggressor, so this should say "Yorkie attacked a Pitbull and he attacked in return" You're making it out to seem like the Pitbull just hauled off on him for no reason in the subject line. BUUUUT that wasn't the case... Stevie bit first and the pitbull gave him a warning by shoving him. He didn't even try to bite back. But when Stevie bit AGAIN then the pitbull took action by instinct. Wouldn't you punch someone square in the face it they punched you once, you brushed it off, but then they punched you again?

I hope li'l Stevie is okay and that everyone learned a lesson!
