Thai is very similar to other south east asian foods. Lots of lemongrass, basil, ginger, coconuts, and curries, peanuts, etc. Thai foods has a lot of salads too I guess since it's so hot there. I really like this salad that is the see through noodles (it's called glass noodle salad) with chicken, shrimp, lettuce, basil, peanuts (or cashews), red onions and cilantro with the lime chili dressing. And then you say how spicy. There is a variation that instead of the noodles, it's this stuff called snow flower that is from the ocean. It REALLY sucks up the flavor, and if you get it too spicy, whew! But if you like spicy and sour, this is the dish for you. One of my favorites!
