Ha yes, Bitch and several other perfectly good words, have been massaged by society into scornful terms. How arrogant can we be !

I understand Ron White's intent, to support the reduction of unwanted animals in our society, but, just to arbitrarily neuter or spay, like a tonsillectomy or appendectomy, is just unreasonable.

I resent that our local government. presumes that I can not control my animals, and irregardless of my attention to their activities, charges me additional fees, just because my Male is not neutered.

The fact is, that both Sneakers and Becca's (they are Brother/Sister) Sire is quite old. And I have not Nurtured Sneakers because he may be required to step into his Father's roll to continue what has proved to be a very stable Bloodline.

Becca, on the other hand, is Spayed...
I really don't like the idea of altering any animal, but there is reason in that approach. However, I'm not sure that the cause for that, was more out of lazyness... not wanting to take the time to make sure that my two didn't couple, or just conformation to popular opinion. Probably the prior.

So, I have one who is, and one who isn't...
I don't think that Spaying Becca, has changed her demeanor much, if at all. But it has Sneakers !

I think he gives her a lot of "slack" (she can really be a pest) because of the hope that at some point, they may make babies together. He frequently "maintains" Becca's hygiene, I presume in hope that at some point, he will detect the right time. Of course, that will not happen now, not with her anyway.

UOO, I think I've drifted off the point a little...
So, in an attempt to reconstitute this, having an animal spayed or nurtured IMHO does not have a major bearing on it's demeanor. No totally different actions or posture in their Pack seem to be evident of that. I am not however disregarding the exception to the rule.
