It sounds like you are on the right track and that you will do anything to help your Lola I am sure!
I want to let you know that the first test they will do is not painful or hurtful in any way it is a BAT/Bile Acids test and I would suggest that if she has high liver enzymes to do that test as soon as possible
After that test then the vet will have a little more information to determine if she has a shunt or not or if it could be something else.

I will keep you and Lola in my prayers and I hope you can get the answers you need.
