My experience is the exact opposite of this. My boy is definitely more affectionate and dependent on me than my girl. In my experience, girls love you, but the boys are
in love with you. This tends to be true for cats and any other breed of dog, as well. In the end, each dog has its own personality and both genders make absolutely wonderful pets.
