Let's see. For a family of 4 we spend $100-$200 a week. It's rare that we spend $200, but every once in a while my little brother likes to try new recipes and that's when things get pricey. I also think he's wasteful. He'll ask for stuff and toss it out when he no longer needs it, but will ask for the same in a week or two. He's in college, and I'm trying to show him to be more careful.

Our total costs would go down to $75 a week if it wasn't for my dad. He buys a lot of organic produce at trader joe's and whole foods, and always has to have fruit that's out of season. At least with my dad, eerythin gets eaten. He's very particular of his diet since his epilepsy medicine works best when he rest of his system is healthy, and it helps his liver from being overwhelmed with all the medication.

We also buy chicken in bulk at Costco. We eat a lot of chicken breast. Here is also no chips, soda, juice, candy, or any kind of frozen pre-made food. My mom just simply doesn't allow it.
