We have the same situation here. Our non-yorkie is a grazer and Levi is a glutton.
There is no way we could leave food down all day, so they are now both on scheduled feedings. When we started giving Dallas (non-yorkie) regular mealtimes, he would sometimes just pick at his food and wouldn't finish his whole serving, but he has learned to adjust. They both do well with scheduled feedings.
