I have the same setup for Max except different colors. He has cozy blankets inside and one over the top. It stands high up adjacent to my bed. He falls asleep in my bed and then every night he wakes up shortly after and stumbles into his crate for the night.
But if I'm leaving the house, he goes in his ex-pen.
