Would he not allow your Mother to wear a pant suit at your wedding...?
I would take that up with the Monsignor of your parish if you are Catholic.
Now...a puppy ring-bearer, that may be a problem but, maybe you could say he's your therapy dog and he needs to be with you...lol!
