It was the combination of all three that the vet said was a sign he was irritated and in pain. He has had diarrhea for a while, so add that as a list of combined symptoms. I think it was the fact that all three were happening at the same time very erratically. I guess the lesson is, if you see something really out of the ordinary that is erractic, I recommend video taping it and showing your vet. I almost believed my breeder when she said he was marking, but I just had an instinctive feeling something was wrong. I was right.
