thanks guys this is great! I cross train with yoga and we just bought an exercise bike (being in Canada I have no idea how I'll like running in the winter).

Yesterday I ran 1.4k in 9 minutes. I warmed up and cooled down on the exercise bike, .5k each end of it, it felt good, I only got a stitch right at the end, but honestly it wasn't my lungs it was more in my ribs, so I think I'm in good enough health that the risk of asthma attacks will be substantially lowered once I train more... Now that I've started I'd like to do a small race next year if I get good enough...

For those with Asthma, I take Salbutamol "as needed" I have only had to take it once in the past year and that is when I had a cold, the Dr. said it would help fight it better. I appear to not need it for my regular runs (and I use the term run lightly consider its more of a staggering jog/walk ) If I'm going to have an intense workout such as running and agility course, should I take it before to be safe? How soon before if so? Or do I take it after I run? Normally one would say take it immediately if there was trouble but if I'm on course I likely wont want to stop on the clock and take a puffer.

Thanks everyone.
