I almost gave up and did the same thing myself!! It seemed I would have several days with not one accident, then all of a sudden, A SPOT!!
I did 2 things when this happened; First I looked at the pad, is it dirty? Oddly enough, my pads only get used to half capacity until Chloe thinks they are too dirty to pee on. This caused her to go BESIDE the pad.
Secondly, she was out too much and had too much freedom. It happened to be a day where I let her dictate how long she stayed out and played. She started getting the run of the house and when it hit her to go, wherever she was, that's where she went.
I got her back on track in a few days by keeping the pads clean and by keeping her on her schedule. In her mind as far as play time and having the run of the house she felt like she was being dominate over me, and you can't have that while training.
She went back to her crate, and out to play and eat as usual, and all these potty issues went away for me. Yorkie's seem to be the hardest to potty train i've ever attempted, but don't give up and be consistent with very little changes in that routine of potty training and it will work out for you. |
