We keep our can in a cabinet and it's too high for Joey to reach. The bathroom cans have a lid, and he doesn't know how to push the button. This is something I wouldn't take a chance with, I've read about too many yorkies getting pancreatitis after eating out of the trash can. They love anything with a human scent so those Q-tips and cotton balls are tempting for them too. These things might not hurt a bigger dog, but you can’t be too careful with a smaller dog.
