I know that my way is pretty archaic (and lazy) but when I first got Teddy I sprayed bitter apple spray on everything he would get close to and I didn't want him sniffing/chewing on. It worked for us pretty well...now he doesn't chew blinds, shoes, etc. There are a lot more efficient ways to train I'm sure, but the spray worked extremely well for us and I didn't have to go any further than that.
