I am not going to be much help at all. I don't have a boy but I have two girls. I know that I love getting to dress up my girls. My girls are really good and love to cuddle. I also hear that girls are easier to potty train. I don't know if that is true or not.
The only thing I would bring up is if you are planning on getting a male make sure all your girls are spayed so there will not be any accidents!
