Took Carlo in for another retest since his Platelet count was low last week. Normal for him is a count around 150,000. Last week Carlo was at 106,000 a week after his Chemo pill, and today he is at 107,000. The Vet called the Cancer Specialist and let her know. She said to have another check in 3 weeks the day before he is supposed to get his next Chemo Pill. If it is not at a minimum of 120,000 not to give him the pill, but to bring him back to the Specialty Hospital to be restaged and see where he is at, and what is next. It would be more dangerous for him to get it with a low count, than not to get it. CEENU (LOMUSTINE) is very powerful and is known to do this, and he has been on it for quite a long time. He is still doing good, and went for another walk. You can tell he is slower, but he does not know that he is old, slower, and sick.
