Another friend of mine failed the first test, but right on the line, so she did the second test and passed. It was a long test, like 4-5 hours and they test your blood every hour to see how your body is processing sugar. She was fine and did not have to do anything different with her pregnancy and diet.
I'm sure you'll be fine. Just make sure not to eat or drink ANY sugars over the 24 prior to your second test. Even if its GD, you'll be on a restricted diet and maybe have to test your blood... but its only 2 more months. At this point, you can do ANYTHING!  Good Luck!!! |
I eat pretty good. Of course I have moments
But the scare of heartburn pretty much keeps me in line for the most part. I did complete the 3 hour glucose test which consisted of 4 blood draws total, one at beginning and then one every hour. I never heard back, and was told no news is good news.
I felt bad the day of the first test. I had not rested well the night before, been on my feet at work almost all day and then had after school activity to attend. I woke up feeling bloated, which never had happend or has happened since. I am hoping it was just a bad day and I get good news tomorrow. We have another appointment and will get to peek at baby agian.
