I really found out by accident when she had runny poos last summer. I gave her chicken and rice and she started scratching horribly. Dug half the hair off her head. I took her in and she had to have a shot and was put on hydroxyzine and changed her kibble to Natural Balance LID,She had been good for over a year and I accidentally gave her one of Bogie's treats that have chicken liver in them...same scenario back to the vet for shots and more hydroxyzine. All from a piece of treat that was the size of my pinky fingernail. She would also have runny poops at least once a month. Since switching to the Natural Balance...no itching and no runny poops for the last 12 months. Fish also causes her to have runny poops.
