When I came home to my mother's house where we stayed overnight for a visit I found Molly with feces caked to her butt and then I saw some brownish red blood on her legs and at the time I thought nothing of it really because she was in a cage with her daughter who was injured in a dog bite from another Yorkie so I thought maybe it was from that. Anyways, I gave her a bath and everything, then we drove an hour south to where I live. When I went to pick Molly up from the back seat of my car she jumped before I touched her and quickly licked her female parts. When I looked closer I saw she was dripping this now more reddish brown blood. I grabbed her and got her out of the car and on the ground where the dripping stopped after about say... 5 large to medium sized drips. I cleaned her again and put her in the crate and let her rest. She came into heat last month so I don't think it's heat. I though it was all over then. So after 2 hours of nothing happening I took her out to drink and pee, well she got a drink and before I could stop her she squatted and peed, looking at me in terror cuz she knows she is being bad but when I leaned over to grab paper towels I saw her blood was fairly well saturated with blood, this time beefy red blood. I'm terrified and starting crying because I've had this dog all her life, since 9wks. If something happen to her.... She's so tiny, only about 4lbs and has always been thin so something like this is life threatening to her. Anyone have a clue as to what's going on? The vet's open at 7:30, we are calling them first thing and going to get her into a visit. She is not spayed either, which was going to be getting done soon to hopefully fatten her up a bit. I hope she is alright, and I know I won't be sleeping tonight...
Was this a mistake, is she ten months old instead of ten years old? If she isn't spayed she should never be around a male dog, even a neutered male dog might try to tie with her, the scent drives males wild. Of course this could cause some fighting. Breeders actually help the dogs tie. Hope you were able to see a vet.
