My first was a very young pup when I got her. It was A LOT of work. It is really like having an infant. They need fed every couple of hours bc of hypoglycemia. They are totally dependent on you. I enjoyed having a little one but am not sure I would want to do it again.

I got Gidget at 18 months of age, and it was a lot easier. She still had a lot of puppy in her, playful, but came pad trained and very mannerly. I was worried about her attaching as much as a young pup did, but she is very attached to us.
