I'm not familiar with bladder infections, so I think you might want to follow the advice of the more experienced here for that. However; I do have a pancreatic dog...and I know a little about nutrition. If you are cooking the hamburger for your dog, then you can use the medium fat that you have handy, but you need to remove as much fat as possible from it while cooking it. Cook it on low and drain, drain, drain....I've even boiled it, then placed it in the fridge for the fat to harden and float to make it even easier to remove. (Just like you would if you were making a beef stew)

Good luck...I hate it when they are sick!
