I don't think there's a reason to boycott Petco, personally. It's a terrible, horrible thing that occurred. Believe me, I am a drowning awareness advocate and run a drowning charity foundation, but this was a matter of management at one store. It had nothing to do with corporate Petco, IMO, and to ban every store seems silly. Just like when my little brother drowned at a country club pool... it was THEIR management, it was THEIR lifeguards, the way they ran a business. I would not go around boycotting all pools because some are run very nicely with adequate training, management, etc.

My local Petco is fine... all the employees are always friendly and helpful, the training classes seem to get good reviews, it's obviously managed okay. This one wasn't. So I will still be shopping at Petco mainly because that is where the food that Jackson eats is sold and I haven't seen it anywhere else yet, either.
