When Gracie was spayed they asked me if I wanted one of those plastic cone collars to keep her from bothering the incision. I told them NO. She came home the same day of the surgery and slept most of the day. She was also quite inactive the second day. She lightly licked the incision a few times but nothing that was not normal for a dog with a wound. I stayed with her the whole time. I greatly dislike those plastic cones and would advise anyone against using them. The onesie is a good idea. They also sell soft post surgical collars that do not stress the neck of the dog.

I'm sure your little one will do fine. Let us know how she is after her surgery.
