Here our streets are public. I don't always get to park on front of my house (and I own it). If I want guaranteed parking, I have a 2 car driveway and garage. Also, my city owns my sidewalks and my trash cans. They aren't my property. The trash cans are provided by the city for trash collection, as well as my recycling bin.

Like I said, maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't care.
we have the city owned cans and recycle bins too. the trash company actually prob owns them and loans to the city who loans em to us. they are an eye sore but it works i guess.
