As a former mommy to SirLickALot, and present mommy to PrinceLickALot, I can tell you that training will help.
If you teach her to kiss on command, then you can teach her to "no kiss" It really is simple, but you have to put the work and patience in to train her. I have taught mine to give little kissies on my nose, so that when someone asks for a kiss, they don't give them sloppy tongue, haha, they give a little tongue flick on the nose and only when asked. It works for us, I just worked with them on it, just like any of the other basic commands, like sit, shake etc.
I would not use a water bottle for this purpose, just to clarify I was kidding on that note |
You are right! Who needs friends like like. hehe
I can work on the licking (face, hands, anything she can...) But, it is more the initial dive in mid air to get to them. If you sit down, she is acrossed the room and licking! She does this to everyone, but me. She gets so excited! I know.... she is a Yorkie right! When she is so excited, she listens to NO commands. She is only 6 months old too. Thanks
