People need to be aware of the situation and make their own decisions. If I bought my dog food at Costco (Kirkland) and Chicken Soup dog food then I would want to know what the outcome was on the other dogs that died. The company has posted what dates of production and if I had the other brands produced during this time then I would not use those bags.
Just like when Tylenol had their problems and it to survived.
