Congrats MommietoSparta, I am also a new member and yorkie mom. Your situation sounds similiar to mine. I am happy to share with you the advice others have given me.... If you change foods, the best way is to start is mixing a little of the new food in at a time - not do it all at once. My Brutus had not any shots either, I got him on a Monday and couldn't get into the vet until Thurs - my vet said he should be just fine, and he was. Can't help with #3, he is my only furbaby. My take on #4 - Brutus was sleeping in his crate when I adopted him, but I just couldn't stand it and after 2 nights, he ended up in bed with me. He has recently been sick, so he has been sleeping in our 4 season room (climate control), but will be back sleeping with me as soon as he is 100%. Someone recommended to buy a baby blanket and then for me to sleep on it for a few nights to get my scent on it so he has it during the day when I am not home for comfort. I haven't tried it yet, but will. He is on his 3rd doggy bed for naps during the day. The one he likes best is a very small one that he can dig his face in and surrounds his body. I think owning a little dog is like having your first child, you'll make mistakes on the way but they don't know, you learn (this board is a huge wealth of info) as you go, and as long as you have their best interest at heart and love them - you will be a wonderful mom. My little guy is only 3.5 months old and I can't imagine him not being apart of our family - I am sure you will feel the same way. Good Luck and post pics of your baby so we can see him.
