Good morning everyone,
I am a new owner of a beatiful 2 month old male Yorkie!! His name is Bentley, he was born on July 4th, I have so far been very lucky with training him. He goes outside- not ONE accident inside yet and we are not using a puppy pad!!!
He does have a biting problem, but what I find to work is telling him "no" "no" "no" ouch mommys hurt- and then putting one of his chew toys next to him so he bites that and when he does start chewing/biting that I tell him "Good boy"!!! This seems to work GREAT!
I put Bentley
on a schedule as soon as I got him, day 1- and I have been doing the same things, at the same times, every single day! Very repeatative but that is what I learned from a Professional Yorkie Trainer to do. Just passing along what I have learned.
Well Bentley & I are at work now, so I suppose we should actually get some work done!!!
