Last night we had ham for dinner, after I cut up some peices for my kids there was a small to meduim size peice that had mostly fat on it so I tossed it in the trash, it was sitting right on top and I meant to close up the bag but got distracted tending to my kids and forgot all about it.
After I got done with the kids I went to get in the shower, not less than 3 minutes after I got in I hear my daughter Kayla, telling Tucker to get out of the trash.. well he got the peice of ham that I put in the trash, he took off with it to my kids bedroom and hid under the bed. Kayla came into the bathroom told me what happened so I grabbed my towel and ran. (not a pretty sight

) I had to take the mattress off the bed to get him out from underneath it, he was not happy as was I.. well by the time I got to him the ham was gone.

I went into panic mode, He is just recovering from some kind of stomach issue from 2 weeks ago. The only thing I could think to do, knowing that ham and greasy fat was not good for him was to make him throw it up to prevent another attack on his stomach. So I gave him a 1/2 teaspoon of peroxide to make him throw up. He did and it was a small amount of ham with some slimy stuff (sorry so graphic).
AS soon as my hubby got home, my kids told him what happend and he freaked out at ME..telling me that I should of just left him alone and I probably made it worse by stressing him out..

and that I was starting to become obessive with my dogs..

Tucker spent the rest of the evening sleeping next to me on the couch, then in his kennel when I went to bed.
At three this morning I woke to him trowing up so more. This time it was alot more and once again contained ham and slime. Made sure he was ok, cleaned up the mess and took both of my littles outside.
He hasnt thrown up anymore, has peed again, no poop yet and did eat alittle of his food. I didnt give him his normal amount. I still have him on a bland homecooked diet with I/D dry that he eats both with out any issues.
He is quiet this morning and not his spunky self, but isnt in any pain, his stomach isnt hard or nothing so Im just gonna keep a close eye on him and take him to the vets at any signs of trouble.
Did I make him worse by making him throw up?? I feel so bad because this whole thing could of been prevented, if I would of just tied up the bag..
