1) Atleast in the majority of my pics I just finished brushing her, some arent though.
2) Ive had my Yorkies coat about 7-8 inches long before, and right now its probably 2ish. When its longer, it will stay parted and straight more. When short like this, its just all crazy, going every which way.
3) Ask the groomer to round the feet (keeps a neater appearance), do a sanitary trim, and tip the ears if you want. When I was growing my Yorkies coat out I used to trim a little bit off (1/4"-1/2") every once and a while, to even it up, as everything didnt grow evenly.
4) It depends on the dog, some go a week, others can go a month. You just have to keep an eye on the skin. I usually bathe every 2 weeks, but if shes been out in the mud/rain, its more like every week.
5) I think you need to experiment with shampoo/conditioner to see what works the best on your doggies coat. So do a search and see who uses what.
6) I use this brush:

Make sure the brush you are using doesnt have the plastic tips on the edge. I also use a metal toothed comb. I always make sure I use a grooming spray (i liked Eqyss's avocado spray) when brushing.
I think the hardest part is growing out the topknot. Because until its able to go up, it just goes down in front of her eyes. Also when they get a longer beard, mine always likes to dip the whole beard in to the water then rub her face on my leg
