They are a breeder co-op or a broker. I am not totally opposed to brokers or breeder co-ops but you do have to be extra careful and still have lots of contact with the actual breeder for this to work. You are going to be paying more usually than buying from the breeder dorect since there is a middle man. I have found that a lot of the breeders who use brokers to advertise for them also advertise on Puppyfind and their prices are cheaper there.

Long distance isn't the BEST option but if it is your only option then I would use a Puppy Escrow to avoid any money scams or an unhealthy pup or a different pup from the picture you saw, etc., I would thoroughly interview the breeder and talk to their vet, etc.

I purchased one of my four from Texas and had her shipped but only after a thorough trust in the breeder and a confidence in her integrity as a breeder. It is always better to go pick the puppy up, see the parents and the facilities of the breeder whenever possible imo.
