I think your home would be awesome for another dog. And if Gidget lived with them before she should do great with a friend. Now boy or girl is going to have to be your decision. Myself I would go with female. But the males are great also. I just rather train a female jmo. I have dad,daughter yorkie and Maddi the cairn is female. They all get along very well most of the time.
